    Sep 24 2025

Build the family life you want with the Building A Home Of Godliness And Joy devotional workbook

Episode 268 // Personal devotional time or quiet time is a HUGE part of spiritual formation as a Christian. Just because mom life is busy and tiring doesn’t mean our Bible time stops being important!

In fact, I think it’s fair to say it’s even more important for us to get this time as Christian parents. We need Jesus to shape our lives, our families, our homes. How else will we faithfully disciple our children? Where else will we find true joy, peace, wisdom, and patience?

Life may be busy, but I hope that today’s 6 simple steps will be helpful for you. When you get that time with the Lord, these steps will help you go deeper and live it out. Cover that time in prayer, lean on the grace that God is always pouring out for you and your family, and step out in faith.

Join me, friend. Let’s jump in!

    Sep 17 2025

Find biblical joy during hard seasons of motherhood with the Joy In The Journey 40-day Devotional

Episode 267 // I love my kids. I love my husband. I love my family. But let’s be real… I also love some “me time” when I’m able to get it.

Lots of moms feel guilty about wanting, needing, or enjoying some alone time. Yet, Jesus himself sometimes got away from other people in order to be alone! To pray, reflect, sleep, and rest.

When moms can get some “me time” and use it rightly, it will fill you up! It will encourage and rejuvenate you for continuing to pour out and love your people well.

Today, let’s look at the value of “me time” along with some reality checks and realistic ideas for how we should use that time. How do we make it valuable? I’ll share some overall principles along with some everyday tips that help me and the women I work with in counseling.

Join me, friend! Let’s dive in.

Build your own daily devotional time with the FREE Holy Habits 45-Day Bible and Prayer Guide.

Episode 266 // Life is always changing. But the Bible is not.

Scripture never changes! It does not adjust to accommodate our busy schedules or reliance on technology. God does not change his mind on what is good or right just because we don’t understand or like it.

There is a biblical picture of what a happy, healthy, and holy marriage looks like. And there is a biblical picture of what happy, healthy, and holy mothering looks like.

Join me today to dive into 6 Scriptures that I have found so helpful over the years. These are the verses that have helped me think through my own family life, and the ones I turn to regularly in the counseling room to help other women strengthen their own family relationships too.

    Let’s dive in.

Episode 263 // What are your plans for the day? Are you SURE they’re God’s plans for your day?

I’ve loved Proverbs 16:1 for a long time, because it challenges my natural desire for lists, schedules, and controlling my own plans. I’ve got 4 little kids… any thoughts of controlling the plans are an illusion.

But God always has a plan - and it’s good, it’s best, and it’s what we ultimately want for our families. Join me today for a devotional thought centered in Proverbs 16:1 - “To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.”
