On September 14th, 1978, two young women took a cross country roadtrip that would forever change their lives.
“While night-driving through Cedar City Utah, we had to stop the car. Approximately 30 gray jackrabbits, 3 to 4 feet tall each, were blocking the highway in front of us.
As we got out of the car, all the power went off; car, radio, lights.
A UFO was hovering over our heads, and shot out a beam of white glaring light, which lit up the jackrabbits and us.
The jackrabbits all turned around at the same time…
…and they were no longer jackrabbits!”
This case was presented at the MUFON 2024 Symposium as a “Best Case of MUFON’s Experiencer Resource Team.”
Richard Banasiak:
Richard grew up, in part, in a US Air Force family, where he lived on bases in Europe as well as on Long Island, NY, and, finally, in Florida. He graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Criminology and a Masters Degree in Leadership from Bellevue University.

Susan contacted MUFON in 2022 to file a report of her experience and it was investigated thoroughly by Richard Banasiak of SoCal MUFON and was presented at the 2024 International Mufon Symposium in Dallas Tx.
