We all have a natural tendency to focus on the negative. We actually were made to scan for threats. Our body releases cortisol (Stress hormone) as well as adrenaline for survival. Our brain loves cortisol but too much can literally stress us out. the Bible has a lot to say about ACCENT-U-ATING the positive. Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on whatever is true, lovely and of good report.

The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. So, he loves to distract us and whisper lies about you, about your spouse, about your marriage......we have to be mindful and not allow bitterness (self-righteous, pride) grow in us but instead of being selfish focus on being self-LESS.

We give tips on how to overcome the bitter with the bitter.

How do we keep on praying and stay encouraged to pray when we feel like God is not hearing us. God never promises we won't have trouble but He does promise He will never leave us. The enemy will try to distract and discourage and flat our lie to that God doesn't care. HE DOES! The enemy will lie and say God's NOT listening....HE IS!

Keep asking....keep seeking...keep knocking! Listen in as we talk about prayer for our spouse and prayer with our spouse. Prayer changes things!

Today we encourage you to remember loved ones who have gone on before us fondly and share fun and heartwarming memories. Sometimes something may trigger a memory and if we don't share that or talk to our spouse about what we are feeling then sometimes that can trigger a series of misunderstandings and frustrations.

When we are mindful of the gift that we had with a person like a parent or grandparent, aunt or uncle......we can honor their memory by sharing those fun stories. This season choose joy, peace and if you've never accepted Christ as your Savior, choose Him! That's what Christmas is all about. He came as a baby.....he lived and died for you! He was and is the greatest gift!
