Marysia Tyski and Michael Nunweiler on Rish Jewelry, From Markets to DTC, Travers Metal and Making Things You'd Want to Wear

  • Résumé

  • Alex and Karen talk with Marysia Tyski, the founder of Rish Jewelry, and her apprentice (and fiancé!) Michael Nunweiler to learn all about their business ventures and the art of jewelry making. Alex and Karen get a rundown of the different jewelry-making processes and dive even further into Marysia and Michael’s own processes for creating their beautiful works, from their sources of inspiration to the craftsmanship that goes into every piece. In addition to speaking about the creative side of their work, they get into the nitty-gritty details of running and growing a business, how their work and partnership has grown and evolved over time, and where they see it going from here. They also share their personal tastes in both jewelry and fashion, and discuss the power that can come from wearing the right pieces.
