  • 1 Corinthians 8:1-8 | Victorious in Motherhood | Susan Tou
    Sep 1 2025

“If we could have our focus and attention on God and others, doing all things in love, that would bring total transformation to every aspect of our lives, our churches, communities and societies.”

Today Aubrie sits down with her boss, our Director of Communications, Susan Tou to dig into 1 Corinthians 8. God has given us the amazing gift of community and walking in faith alongside other believers. It is important to be aware of our thought life and how we are living because it not only affects us, but can either encourage or discourage our fellow believers. Let’s walk in a way that blesses others and brings glory to God!

  • 1 Corinthians 7:1-16 | Victorious in Marriage | Nathanael & Melissa King
    Aug 4 2025

“Marriage is about a mutual giving ourselves up for our spouse just as Jesus gave Himself up for us.”

Marriage is often full of sacrifice, but also with so many good gifts from God! Today Aubrie sits down with her pastor and his wife, Nathanael and Melissa King, to dig into 1 Corinthians 7 which is all about marriage, sex and divorce. Nathanael and Melissa share wisdom on how we can have thriving marriages and what it looks like when we may be navigating difficult circumstances.

The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Nathanael has been blessed to be married to Melissa since 2006, and together with their children they live in California. They have four boys, and one little princess: Nehemiah, Elijah, Isaiah, Micaiah, and Charis. Nathanael has a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Biola University, and a M.Div. in Pastoral Studies from Talbot School of Theology. He has served in ministry for around 25 years and enjoys leading the teaching team as a Pastor-Elder at Temecula Hills.

He is passionate about seeing people become dynamic followers of Jesus Christ who take the New Testament vision of discipleship seriously, and he desires to help them develop a Christian worldview that encompasses their whole lives and leads to real, daily transformed living. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, reading about theology and philosophy, playing guitar, playing games, and talking and laughing with friends.

    SCRIPTURES

And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?” He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. Matthew 19:3-8 ESV

Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, 2 when they see your respectful and pure conduct. 1 Peter 3:1-2 ESV

  • 1 Corinthians 6 | Victorious in Motherhood | Jennifer Dill
    Jul 21 2025

“You lose so much when you step ahead of God’s plan.” Moms in Prayer International Board Member, Jennifer Dill, is back to talk through 1 Corinthians 6 and the truth that God’s ways are better! He is the One who gives us perfect discernment, wisdom and guidance to help us to walk as we should. When we lay down our selfish desires and need for control, we can love others as God calls us to and be a bright light for His Kingdom.

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Jennifer's introduction to Moms in Prayer came through hearing founder Fern Nichols speaking at a local church more than 25 years ago. She then connected with the Moms in Prayer leader at the elementary school conveniently located across the street from her house and joined a group by the time her daughter started kindergarten. Eventually, Jennifer became a Moms in Prayer leader and hosted the group at her home. She consistently prayed for her daughter through college and now continues to pray for her children and grandchildren. Jennifer is also humbled to serve on the Moms in Prayer Board and works as a grant writer for a non-profit organization that helps the unsheltered, and others in need.

A Washington DC/Maryland native, Jennifer resides in San Diego with her husband of 32 years and they share one grown daughter together. Jennifer is also blessed to have two grown "bonus" daughters and five grandchildren.

    SCRIPTURES

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:22-23 NIV

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 ESV

Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165 ESV

that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 1 Thessalonians 4:6 ESV

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.Jude 20-25 ESV

  • 1 Corinthians 4:9-21 | Victorious in Motherhood | Rachel Raih
    Jun 23 2025

“We need to be reminded that it’s not about us. It’s not about my rights or my fulfillment and happiness. It’s all about God!” Today we welcome back Moms in Prayer Heartland Division Coordinator, Rachel Raih, to talk through part two of 1 Corinthians chapter four. She encourages us to lay down our desires, be led by the Spirit and He will empower us to live the way that we should. When we are yielded to God, His power will work mightily in and through us!

The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Rachel clearly remembers when she heard about Moms in Prayer International on a Focus on the Family radio broadcast featuring our Founder, Fern Nichols. Her heart was stirred and now she has been praying in a Moms in Prayer group for 34 years! After serving for 10 years as our Iowa State Coordinator, she now serves as our Heartland Division Coordinator, overseeing seven states. She plans to continue to pray in a group as long as the Lord gives her the physical and mental ability.

Her oldest son battled severe asthma which resulted in a number of emergency room visits and hospitalizations throughout his childhood on up to college. She would battle anxiety and fear whenever he developed a runny nose or cough and a feeling of dread would come over her. Many weeks he would be the one of the four children that were covered in prayer in her Moms in Prayer hour. This brought great peace, hope and strength. God answered so many prayers on his behalf and today he is healthy and his asthma is well controlled.

Rachel lives with her husband, Darrel, of 46 years in Sioux Center, Iowa. They have four adult children and the wonderful blessing of being grandpa and grandma to eight grandchildren.

    SCRIPTURES

Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:25-28 NIV

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Matthew 16:24-25 ESV

And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:3-5 ESV

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 1 Corinthians 3:5 ESV

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? • 1 Corinthians 3:10-23 | Victorious in Motherhood | Amy Conrod
    May 26 2025

“We don’t have to measure up. We just have to rest in His love and grace for us.” Our Georgia State Coordinator, Amy Conrod, is back for part two of 1 Corinthians chapter three. She reminds us that there is always more grace for us! God doesn’t run out. He calls us to Himself to find rest for our weary souls.

The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Amy and her husband live in Georgia. She heard about Moms in Prayer on the radio when her two sons were beginning elementary school and felt God's call to pray for them. As a former first grade teacher, she also knew how vital prayers are for our schools. She continues to pray in a group for her two sons (now young adults) and daughter-in-law. She also has the joy of serving as the Georgia State Coordinator.

She will forever be grateful for this prayer ministry that has been a lifeline in every season. Learning how to battle against worry through praise and scripture-filled prayer with others has been one of God's greatest gifts. She wishes every Christian woman could experience the peace, hope, and encouragement that happens in a Moms in Prayer group.

    SCRIPTURES

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 MSG

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2 ESV
