À propos de cet audio
Nan Bray has had quite the journey. The former physical oceanographer from Idaho in the US, fell in love with Tasmania, Australia, and decided to make the move there for a new job and a new life.
After a few years of self-reflection about what was important to her, she left the security of a stable income and the job she knew well, bought a property, and jumped head-first into sheep farming!
Now, two decades into her venture, Nan's an ethical wool producer who has investigated and implemented many emerging and historic farming methods, learning from her animals and the land as she goes. She has had to make some big decisions which have changed the way she manages her flock and farm, but this approach has resulted in Nan's wool product being sought-after by ethical fashion entrepreneurs around the world.
We hope you enjoy this amazing conversation with Nan where we she talks us through the challenges of making big moves in life, the lessons she's learned along the way, and how to lean into an incredible new concept we'll be stealing called, "sheep time".
