"An inheritance is the stuff you leave behind. A legacy is something you forge." As I grow older, I think more and more about what my legacy might be. My parents and in-laws passed a legacy of faith and love to me and Carla. What will our children remember about us? How about our grandchildren or great-grandchildren? Will they continue to pursue Christ and his kingdom? How can we set a path for them to follow. We hope you will join us for this series as we talk about what an eternal legacy is and how you can forge it for your family.

In Philippians 4:13, Paul tells us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This a verse that is often misinterpreted. It does not mean that you do anything you want to and God will enable you to do it. I may want to be able to run a 9 second 100 meters, but I don't have the physical attributes to do so. Just because I follow Christ, it doesn't mean I will be a world-class sprinter because I want to be one. The verse means that anything God calls me to do and walk in, his strength will enable me to do it. God called Carla and I to walk in some hard places. His strength and grace were always sufficient. In today's podcast, we share some of the stories from our journey.
