The last Sunday in November this year is known in the church calendar as Advent Sunday. Advent means a time of getting ready for Christmas, making spiritual preparations for the observance of the birth of Jesus. If you are where you can get your Bible, look with us at the first two chapters in the gospel of Luke, that historian/physician, to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude for insight into the days of Jesus' birth. You may want to look also at Isaiah's prophecy, chapter 40, verse 9, from which we get the title of today's message: "Behold your God!"

We welcome you this morning to our Sunday worship service from Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. Thanksgiving Day is only a few days away! We begin today's message with a quote from an unnamed Native American, who said, "How to walk on the earth like a child of God, man does not know." In the Bible, John tells us that as Christians we are to walk even as Jesus walked. Surely this is not telling us the mechanics of putting one foot in front of the other.
