Tyler and Liam are live on location from the Jasper Park Lodge this weekend as Oilersnation Everyday hits the road for the Jasper Pond Hockey Tournament. The Edmonton Oilers are back at Rogers Place for their third straight home game as they get set to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tyler and Liam get you ready for tonight’s matchup as the Penguins roll into Edmonton on the second half of a back-to-back after defeating the Calgary Flames last night.

However, re received a bit of a curveball this morning as Kris Knoblauch announced Tristan Jarry will get the start for the Oilers, while all signs point toward Arturs Šilovs starting for the Penguins. The Edmonton Oilers came up short once again in their search for a three-game win streak, falling 2–1 to the New Jersey Devils at Rogers Place on Wednesday night. Tyler and Liam break down the loss as Edmonton failed to win three straight for the ninth time this season, despite having a chance to keep momentum rolling after back-to-back shutouts over the weekend.

The Oilers dressed an 11/7 lineup without Leon Draisaitl and Kasperi Kapanen, and spent much of the game undermanned after Vasily Podkolzin picked up 17 penalty minutes following his fight with Johnathan Kovacevic. Those penalty issues and lineup adjustments played a major role in how the game unfolded, and the boys dive into whether Edmonton did enough offensively to earn two points.
