There are a lot of epic things to climb on planet Earth, but climbing the last remaining ancient wonder of the world? Yeah, come at that. Great to catch up with our friend Lucinda, and go a little deeper than the surface hype. We get into the details of what it’s like to explore places where things might not be safe or stable, everyone might be a spy and the guns are definitely loaded. Also, the all time greatest escape.
Artist and photographer Lucinda Grange shares her adventure of climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza. Amidst the backdrop of political unrest, gunshots, and curfews, Lucinda details the challenges of planning the climb, navigating security, and the exhilaration of reaching the top. She recounts her theories about a strange hotel owner, evading security guards, and the stunning experience of seeing ancient carvings at the summit. Lucinda also talks about her artistic projects, including creating a robot that can draw and 3D scanning underground spaces! As cool as it sounds.
