Dillon Brooks is having the best season of his NBA career, but he did not hear his name called among the seven Western Conference reserves for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. The Phoenix Suns didn’t have nearly enough to keep up with Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers, who earned a 117-93 win at the Mortgage Matchup Center on Sunday night. Phoenix saw its three-game win streak snapped as it was outrebounded, 63-35, with LA’s Ivica Zubac pulling down a total of 20 rebounds.

The Suns shot 33.3% from the field for the game and were led by 23 points and eight assists from Grayson Allen, who shot 7 of 21 from the field. Dillon Brooks finished with 22 points on 7 of 20 shooting in the game; Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin are the only other two Suns to finish in dobule figures with 12 points apiece.

LA dominated despite being without James Harden, getting outscored by 30 from beyond the arc and shooting an uncharacteristic 64.7% from the charity stripe. In Jalen Green’s first game back from a three-game absence, the Phoenix Suns cruised to a dominant 126-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who entered the night on a five-game win streak. Green took a hard spill in the third quarter but in 16 minutes of action, finished with 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field, including 3 of 7 from beyond the arc.

Dillon Brooks continued his recent tear, scoring a game-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field and the Suns shot a red-hot 23 of 48 from 3-point range. Phoenix’s defense held All-Star hopeful Donovan Mitchell to 16 points, while Cleveland committed 22 turnovers that led to 36 points.

With the win, the Suns move to 30-19, an impressive 11 games above .500 to close the month of January. Dillon Brooks’ career-high 40 points paced the Phoenix Suns as they earned one of their more impressive wins of the 2025-26 season by defeating the Detroit Pistons, 114-96. The Phoenix Suns held off a scrappy Brooklyn Nets team to snap a two-game skid with a 106-102 win. Things got chippy at the end, but it was a late 10-2 run that allowed the Suns to overcome a deficit to move to 28-19 on the season.

Without Devin Booker, Collin Gillespie, Jalen Green and Isaiah Livers, the Suns enjoyed a season-high 27 points from Mark Williams, while Dillon Brooks scored 26 points and Grayson Allen added a number of clutch buckets en route to 18 points on the night. The Nets were paced by 36 points from Michael Porter Jr. while rookie guard Egor Dëmin added 15 points.

Phoenix won a scrappy contest despite shooting 5 of 20 from 3-point range and it maintains its pace among the top half of the Western Conference. The Suns now look to get healthier as they welcome two of the East’s best teams to close January.
