With the release of the US Open Draw, Erik and Aidan hop on the pod for a quick discussion covering what they are seeing from the matchups and what excites them looking forward into the tournament. Some players seem to have an easier draw than others, and certain top seeds may be ousted early. The guys discuss whether Sinner or Alcaraz will have an easier run to the final, and what top players could make an exit earlier than their projected quarterfinals. This week Erik and Aidan discuss the conclusion of the Cincinnati Masters, which promised a bang and ended with a fizzle. The tournament had overall delivered through the majority of the tournament. Most of the top players had performed and we even had a shocking underdog run. Unfortunately, as the days dragged on, more and more players began to struggle with the conditions. This week Erik and Aidan recap the result of the Canadian Open, where American Ben Shelton emerged victorious! The young American was definitely a top contender, but this was still an unexpected result, achieving a finals victory over Russian Karen Khachanov. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Masters was already underway, with the first couple of rounds already completed. Whether it is fatigue or simply the tough conditions in Ohio at this time of the year, many top seeds have already fallen out of the tournament.
