A Story Of Animal Rights: Placing animals on the political stage w/ Sasha

In this episode I sit down with Sasha who is an animal rights activist. We focus on the importance of animal rights in politics and discuss his time campaigning as a Member of Parliament on behalf of The Animal Welfare Party. We also talk about how to be an activist, problems we face in politics and the solutions found in abolitionism, facing criminal charges, and caring for vegan dogs.

A Story Of Animal Rights: The moral dilemma of a veterinarian w/ Alja, Matilde, Anni, Giulia

Alja and Matilde currently work in practice in the Netherlands, while Anni and Giulia are in their second years at vet school in Germany and Switzerland respectively. They are all either vegetarian or vegan and together we discuss some of the ethical dilemmas they face on a daily basis while working at the forefront of animal rights.

In this episode we talk about the ethical concerns within the veterinary profession, whether animal rights prevail over human dictation, working in slaughterhouses, feminism and veganism, and advice for future vets and vegans alike.
