So I took a little break... yep you guessed it, life has been burning me to the ground lately. Instead of sitting on the mic to give you guys a million different tips that you can use to get into a better headspace right now, I realized that's probably the last thing someone who's feeling burnt-out would want to listen to. So instead, today we'll just have a fun, real, raw chat about what it's like to feel this way, why I think it comes up when it does and how we can avoid it in the future.
Journal prompts for burnout:
- What do you think prompted this feeling? Was it a specific action you've been taking? New routine? Change of some sort? Tired of doing the same thing?
- If you could explain burnout to someone else, how would you explain the feeling?
- What is the loudest voice in your head saying to you most frequently? What is it trying to make you believe?
- What is the hardest part about burnout for you?
- Why do you think, if at all, that burnout might be necessary for growth? In other words, what does being burnt out teach you that you wouldn't have learned otherwise?
- What lifestyle habit(s) in your life may have caused you to get to this point? How can you scale back just a little bit. (Maybe this is by spending less time doing something or even adding something enjoyable into this habit)
