In a news item that NONE of us saw coming, Fede Alvarez just announced he will step down from directing the sequel to Alien: Romulus. Instead, he and Ridley Scott will jointly produce the film.

Among other duties, Maggie is behind the "needle drops" in the show—a hallmark of Hawley's style, and a thrilling (if somewhat divisive) addition to the Alien universe. And Jeff was kind enough to come back on just a couple months after his first appearance on Perfect Organism to take us behind some of his already iconic music cues, giving us a glimpse into his creative process.

We're looking forward to bringing you more of these glimpses inside the making of Alien: Earth throughout the season.
