When nineteen-year-old Mary Sullivan agrees to babysit during the worst blizzard of the year, she thinks she's just helping out a desperate neighbor. Dr. Novak seems unusually anxious about leaving her children during the storm, and the kids are acting strange. As the night wears on and the snow piles up, Mary begins to understand her father's cryptic warnings about winter storms - and why he always said that real people leave tracks in the snow. Sometimes, the familiar faces outside your window aren't who they seem to be, and the hardest part of surviving the night might be remembering one simple rule: never let them in.
