In this podcast episode, Sahra discusses the contents of the German Bundestag's parliamentary session of September 15, 1949. During this session, the primary topic was the suspension of pending criminal proceedings against MPs Alfred Loritz and Alfred Onnen, centered around the immunity stipulated in Article 46, Section 4 of the Basic Law. The issue was about whether the pending proceedings could continue based on a judgment from the Reichsgericht in 1875 which some, like MP Zinn, argued was no longer compatible with the current Basic Law. The Bundestag adopted Zinn's proposal for suspension until an appropriate legal interpretation could be made. Also during the session, MP Blücher's motion to postpone the next parliamentary session by 24 hours to allow for better preparation was accepted, despite some resistance. Ultimately, the session ended with the announcement that the next session would be held on September 20th.
