  • When we become moms, we develop superpowers. Most of us are familiar with that old mom threat of having eyes in the back of our heads. And just the other day, I was joking with my son about how I had grown extra arms when he was born (one for him, one for the diaper bag, one for my stuff, one for the mail, one for my water cup, one for the groceries, … you get the idea, I’m sure.)


    Well, Power Moms not only develop these superpowers (which also include crazy multi-tasking, memory challenges from the kids’ routines, conflict resolution, you name it…, but they then parlay those superpowers into other successes for themselves, their families, and their communities.


    And, we don’t stop there! A Power Mom also helps other moms achieve and succeed. The happier and healthier you are (emotionally, physically, mentally, financially, or otherwise), you’ll be a better mom. So, our community and its Power Moms Podcast Network features moms who have found their greater powers and want to connect to help YOU do the same.

  • Power Moms - Disrupt and Never Settle for Less, with Jennifer Frye of Appreciated Asset

    To use her own words, Jennifer Frye is “a single mom, a CEO, and a badass.” And, I can tell you, having known this woman for 20-plus years, that all of the above is true. We first met following our Junior years in college. We were both studying business at Tulane University’s A. B. Freeman School of Business and met through their summer study abroad program in Europe… back in the year 2000.

    She and I now are both single moms and solo entrepreneurs; and we connect a lot in this conversation about how that feeling of “no wiggle room to screw up” with parenting translates into building a business by yourself. Not only do we dig into her path to betting on herself and owning her own company, but also into overcoming the fear of being alone–period. The silver lining flipside of that path is being in control of your own trajectory, as Jen says. So, listen in and consider whether or not you should venture on your own in working toward your goals. She lives with her 9 year old son Maxwell and their rescue dog Dewey and she hosts nightly impromptu dance parties in her kitchen. She loves to travel, read, cook (occasionally) and run (even less occasionally). Jennifer loves to show other women, and specifically single moms how they can "redefine having it all".
