  • From Hustle to Intentional Living w/ Matt Masters: Family, Focus & The Time Quadrants
    Sep 8 2025

Entrepreneur and devoted dad Matt Masters joins Gabriel “The ProActivator” to unpack what it really looks like to live proactively—at home, at work, and in your head. Matt traces his path from launching a niche e-commerce brand in 2009, scaling to a warehouse and staff, then intentionally redesigning his life post-COVID to buy back time and freedom—including moving into lending and investing.

We dive into the ProActivator pillars (Faith, Family, Fitness, Focus, Fulfillment & Finances), how weekly family meetings build trust and accountability, and why most people get trapped in Quadrant 1 & 4 of the Time Management Quadrants. Matt gets real about parenting (when to be firm vs. hands-off), finding purpose beyond revenue, and using keystone habits to create momentum that sticks.

If you’ve ever wondered how to balance ambition with being present for your family—or how to shift from reactive living to intentional leadership—this one’s for you.

    Highlights

    • Matt’s origin story: crisis → clarity → company
    • Buying back time: third-party logistics, passive lending & flexibility
    • Family meetings that actually work (agenda, celebrations, improvements, budget)
    • Eisenhower’s Time Quadrants and living in Quadrant 2
    • Fitness & focus: rules, routines, and eliminating distractions
    • Keystone habits that cascade into every area

Listen, take notes, and start acting like the future you—today.

  • The Six Pillars of a ProActivators Life
    Aug 30 2025

Hey, friends! This is Gabriel, the ProActivator, with a solo episode breaking down my six pillars: Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, Focus, and Fulfillment. I share how they changed my life—listen up!

Hey, this is Gabriel, the ProActivator, welcoming you to the ProActivators Podcast! Today, I’m sharing a solo episode where I wrote this description to break down the six pillars that guide my life: Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, Focus, and Fulfillment. These aren’t just ideas—they’re how I’ve grown, with ups and downs, and I’ll share my stories to help you apply them.

    Key Highlights:

    • Faith: It’s my foundation. I gave my life to Christ at 11, drifted in my twenties, but recommitted mid-twenties—never looked back. Habits like daily prayer (for family, health) keep me grounded.
    • Family: Being present for my wife and two teens (13 and 15) is key. Weekly Saturday 7:00 AM meetings cover wins, issues (like alarms), and values—love, toughness, structure.
    • Fitness: I’ve loved it since teens but gained weight post-marriage. Now, gym at 5:00 AM, CrossFit, reading—lost 60 pounds since 2020. Reject sugar, stay consistent for strength and mindset.
    • Finances: Ups and downs here—made money in solar/digital marketing but lacked consistency. Now separating accounts with my wife for better stewardship; inspired by Rich Dad Poor Dad and Dave Ramsey.
    • Focus: Eradicated distractions with time-blocking (9-10: this task, etc.) using Grok—now unstoppable, no podcasts or news mid-day.
    • Fulfillment: Giving without return, like coaching others or church tithing—joy comes from seeing lives change.

  • Wisdom at 65: Gaston Llaca’s ProActivator Journey
    Aug 25 2025

Hey, this is Gabriel, the ProActivator, welcoming you to the ProActivators Podcast! Today, I’m excited to share my conversation with Gaston Llaca, a friend I met at the JCC Center playing basketball. I wrote this description to highlight his incredible journey at 65, turning life challenges into growth. Born in Spain to Cuban immigrants, Gaston’s life reflects the six ProActivator pillars: faith, family, fitness, finances, focus, and fulfillment.

    Key Highlights:

    • Faith Journey: Gaston deepened his faith in his late thirties, returning to church and learning to pray daily (4-5 minutes), asking blessings for his kids, family, and others like his cousin with stage four lung cancer. He loves faith-based movies like God’s Not Dead and serves as head usher at his church.
    • Family Values: Raised in a tough divorced family, Gaston forgave his father after watching The Forge, vowing to be a wonderful father to his son and daughter. He regrets not devoting enough time to his ex-wife, a lesson he shares to help others.
    • Fitness Passion: Gaston exercises four times weekly with basketball and swims, inspired by wanting to see his kids (born when he was 44-46) grow. He hasn’t been sick in 31 years, crediting chiropractic care, supplements, and cold showers—habits he adopted after my encouragement.
    • Financial Stewardship: Laid off from Bacardi, Gaston adjusted to a 25% salary cut by living within his means, appreciating what he has—rent, a car.
    • Focused Living: Once drifting, Gaston shifted in his late thirties with faith and routine (gym at 5:00 AM, biking), tackling tasks immediately as a single dad, rejecting comfort as the enemy of progress.
    • Fulfillment Through Giving: Gaston donates to those in need, finding joy in giving at Christmas without expecting return, valuing time with loved ones over gifts.
