    In this episode, we speak with Paula Metz and Steven Amedeo from the Montrose Softball League Association as Houston gears up to host the Gay Softball World Series later this month. The event will bring over 2,000 LGBTQ+ individuals from nearly 200 teams to Houston for a week-long tournament, infusing the city with additional queer energy and spirit, and empowering every participant to "Be Someone."

Houston Gaymers is a highly active non-profit charity and community group that strives to bring together and provide a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and fellow video game enthusiasts through their online presence, community, and monthly meetups. This year, they have been highly active and intentional about engaging with the broader queer community and giving back through fundraising and other volunteer efforts.
