  • Utica’s Next Chapter: From Drag Race to Project Runway
    Sep 18 2025

On this episode of The Queerty Interview, we spotlight a true queer original: Utica. First introduced as a fan favorite on RuPaul’s Drag Race, she’s now back in the spotlight on Project Runway as Ethan, bringing her signature artistry and design talent to a whole new stage.

Utica opens up about the transition from drag to fashion design, the challenge of impressing judges like Law Roach, and why embracing both sides of herself makes her work even more powerful. She also shares behind-the-scenes tea from the Project Runway workroom, her Midwest roots, and what’s next on the horizon for her fashion house.

Hosted by Queerty’s Jake Thompson, this conversation is thoughtful, funny, and fabulously fashionable.

  • 'Twinless' stars James Sweeney and Dylan O'Brien
    Sep 5 2025

This is the Queerty interview, where we bring you conversations with the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in entertainment, activism and beyond. In today's episode, we're unpacking the must see film Twinless, a dark, romantic dramedy that'll definitely take you by surprise. Now, there's a lot we don't want to spoil about Twinless, but all you need to know going in is that it's about two young men who meet in a support group for people who've lost their twin.

The film comes from the brilliant writer/director/actor James Sweeney, who stars opposite Dylan O'Brien in dual roles as twins Roman and Rocky, which honestly might be the two best performances of his career so far.

Ahead of the film's theatrical release. We had the opportunity to sit down with Sweeney and O'Brien for an all too brief chat about the real life bond and how their mutual trust in one another emboldened O'Brien to play two distinct characters, one gay and one straight. Let's take a listen.

  • 'Lurker' stars Théodore Pellerin and Archie Madekwe
    Aug 29 2025

This is the Queerty Interview, where we bring you conversations with the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in entertainment, activism and beyond. In today's episode, we're diving into the buzzy new thriller Lurker. The film stars Théodore Pellerin as a retail employee who manages to worm his way into the inner circle of a rising pop star, played by Saltburn's Archie Madekwe. Lurker takes a lot of twists and turns we don't want to spoil here, but it's safe to say that the relationship between the two verges on the homoerotic.

With the film in theaters now, it's stirring up a lot of conversation. So I spoke with Pellerin and Madekwe about why they see Lurker as a love story, and they helped us unpack the deeper meaning of the movie's highly charged wrestling scene.
