À propos de cet audio
Racism is a harmful prejudice that causes negative feelings towards people based on their group identity. It often involves harmful stereotypes and can lead to racial discrimination and even violence. Discrimination means treating people unfairly because of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, ability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or other identities. This unfair treatment can happen at both individual and institutional levels. Discrimination is a direct result of prejudice and leads to harmful and unjust treatment of people in marginalized groups. We must recognize and address these issues to create a fairer society. Merriam-Webster defines "racism" as the belief that a person's race determines their traits and abilities. This belief has led to harmful ideas that suggest some races are better or worse than others. Racism also means treating one racial group unfairly, which gives advantages to other groups in society, the economy, and politics. These definitions are important for understanding this article, which looks at ten main causes of racism, especially against Ebony people, at both personal and systemic levels. It is essential to remember that racism is not human!
