  • Introducing: Don’t Listen To Us with Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody
    Oct 15 2025

We’re so excited to share a new show from Lemonada Media, Don’t Listen To Us, an advice show for advice-skeptics and wisdom-lovers, hosted by Mandy Patinkin, Kathryn Grody, and their son Gideon.

Legendary actor Mandy (The Princess Bride, Homeland, Criminal Minds) is the consummate entertainer who shoots from the hip, stage actress Kathryn is the thoughtful connector who sees all the nuance, and Gideon is the brave soul keeping them on track (or at least trying). Together, Mandy and Kathryn have 40+ years of marriage, 140+ years of life experience, and a series of viral social media posts where Gideon interviews them and watches both chaos and wisdom ensue.

They don’t always agree on what advice to give—in fact, they rarely do. But they draw from their highs and lows as artists, parents, lovers, and humans, to give their unique take on real dilemmas submitted by you -- the listeners. Hang out with this family and you’ll walk away with insights you didn’t expect, stories you’ll want to repeat, and comfort knowing that you’re not alone in figuring out how to survive this fakakta world.

You’re about to hear a clip from the first episode from Don’t Listen To us. After you listen, head to: https://lemonada.lnk.to/DontListenToUsfd to hear the full episode and follow the show wherever you get your podcasts.

Pop culture expert Danny Pellegrino knows what TV shows are worth watching and when it’s time to change the channel. He tells Ricki and Kalen about his memories watching The Ricki Lake Show after school, digs into all the drama that surrounds The Real Housewives franchise, and shares who he considers to be the Queen of Reality TV. Plus, Kalen divulges what reality shows he’d want to be on and Ricki asks Danny about the on-screen scandals we can't get enough of.

    Jul 22 2025

This episode of 'Raised by Ricki' originally aired December 8, 2022.

Twenty years before Bob the Drag Queen won the eighth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” he would run home after school to catch The Ricki Lake Show. And today, Bob joins Ricki and Kalen to talk about the show’s significance for queer people and people of color – especially drag queens. As a certified fan of The Ricki Lake Show, Bob introduces Kalen to the Ricktionary and talks about why the show was unlike any other on TV in the 90s. Bob also shares what he wishes he saw on the show, and Ricki talks honestly about what they could have done better.

I want to like this. I really want to like this. Ricki suffers from "I can't remember" syndrome about a show that made her a household name -- AND is the subject of this podcast. It makes you wonder if this is for the audience to take a walk down memory lane or for Ricki's sake to be reminded about the biggest moment of her career.
The nasal and squeaky-voiced shrill co-host is too much to handle. Thankfully he is largely silent when a guest is on but when he's going back and forth with Ricki his voice is too much like a character and doesn't seem natural. If it IS natural (unlikely) it would be obnoxious to have a conversation with him. Otherwise, it is fun to hear Ricki talk showbiz with celebs and iconic moments from her show.

Memory loss matches her hair loss
