    In the latest episode of the Riders Ready Podcast, we are delighted to welcome Radical Ron from Northern California as our guest! Hosts Rainer Schadowski and Stephan Bouren chat with Ron Sampson who began BMX in the USA in 1972 and immediately won his very first race. In 1982 Ron came to Germany with the Army. He quickly fell in love with the country—not least because the taxis here were Mercedes and there was BMX racing as well. In 1983, he participated in his first race in Rödermark where he not only learned the exciting lesson that the curves in Germany go to the left but also to the right, he also met Rainer. In this episode we discuss Ron's connection to Pattersons, his Bull Terrier Rambo and the difference between old school and modern BMX.     In the late 1970s Gerrit brought BMX to Holland and Europe. Without him, we probably wouldn't experience BMX the way we do today. We had the chance to meet Gerrit at the 31st Veteran Cup in Weiterstadt and talked about his journey and the evolution of BMX. We’re excited to introduce you to the mastermind behind European BMX. As a premiere on “Riders Ready,” this episode is available in English, hosted by Patterson-Man Stephan Bouren. Gerrit hat BMX Ende der 70er Jahre nach Holland und Europa gebracht. Ohne ihn würden wir BMX wahrscheinlich heute nicht so erleben, wie wir es tun. Wir haben Gerrit beim 31. Veteranencup in Weiterstadt getroffen und mit ihm über seinen Werdegang und die Entwicklung des BMX gesprochen. Wir freuen uns, den Mastermind des europäischen BMX näherzubringen.
