  • Stop Making Excuses
    Dec 23 2025

This is a devotional study about moving forward when God calls for you to move forward, rather than making a multitude of excuses. This is good preparation for us as we prepare to enter a new year (although it is good guidance for other times of the year as well).

    Exodus 4:2 KJV
And the LORD said unto him, “What is that in thine hand?”
    And he said, “A rod.”

  • Introduction to Introduction to the Writings of Paul
    Dec 16 2025

This is the eight episode in a series of introductory overviews to various sections of the scriptures. We are now dealing with the writings of the Apostle Paul in the New Testament, from Romans through Hebrews. These 14 books represent 52% of the NT scriptures by number of books, but an even greater percentage by volume of writing.

    Romans 15:4 KJV
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

    Hebrews 4:12 KJV
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
