À propos de cet audio

Okay, I know what you are thinking; “Who is this guy I never heard of and furthermore, why is he trying to glom onto the Woody Allen character?” Well yes, the Woody Allen title character in the movie did inadvertently end up interjecting himself into events next to some of the most famous people in history. However, I never intended to interject myself into the lives of famous music, entertainment and sports celebrities, but because of my chosen profession, I just kinda ended up there. I did choose the title of this podcast loosely based on that part of Woody’s character’s namesake (and maybe because of his recent alleged transgressions, a good time to rebrand that title, at least for now) but I also thought the word “Zelig” originally had a much wider meaning.

These will be short stories, or vignettes if you’d like, that get to the point of the matter and certainly not to imply that this will be a confessional “tell-all” book, or reveal something shocking about people I write about - that’s not me nor my intention. My purpose is to present my personal glimpse into a world where the talented and famous live their lives out of range of the public, except for carefully crafted press releases or only their outward persona presented through the media. Everything from the craziest antics to the most sincere acts of kindness can be exploited by the media for the utmost effect in creating and nurturing an image to capture the public’s short attention span. And it should not go without saying that so many in the public spotlight are masters themselves in manipulating the message they want to amplify. Therefore, depending upon your viewpoint, as an antidote or complement to that messaging, we will present some unique interactions with everyone from legends like the Rolling Stones - to Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Richie Sambora, Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Van Halen, Johnny Depp, Dolly Parton, members of the Eagles and Motley Crue, plus so many more, including members of several sports hall of fame, characters like Charlie Sheen, Jack Black and even British royalty. Some stories are interwoven with some artists appearing in different podcats at later dates, and some are complete stand-alones (NOTE: A few of these stories have appeared in my first book, “The Cool Factor; Building Your Brand Through Partnership Marketing” (Wiley & Sons Publishers) but they were presented in a different context.

A truly unique podcast that can’t be duplicated anywhere else.
