  • Courtside Conversations – Episode 11
    Jul 24 2025

In this eleventh episode of your podcast, Gigi Salmon is joined by the ever-charismatic Mansour Bahrami to break down all the highlights from the 2025 edition of Wimbledon.

On-site at the All England Club for the prestigious Invitational Doubles, Bahrami had a courtside view of all the action during the iconic fortnight in London. A masterful technician and an eternal showman, Mansour Bahrami was naturally enthralled by the incredible runs of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who clashed once again in a blockbuster final, just over a month after their epic thriller at Roland-Garros.

Turning to the women’s draw, Mansour was full of praise for Iga Swiatek’s spectacular resurgence. The Polish star lifted her first-ever Wimbledon trophy, bringing her tally to six Grand Slam titles in six final appearances. Dominant from start to finish, Swiatek ended a year-long title drought and is now firmly back in the hunt to reclaim the No. 1 ranking, still held by Aryna Sabalenka, who was ousted in the semi-finals by the stunningly resilient Amanda Anisimova.

In this tenth episode of your podcast, Gigi Salmon and Patrick McEnroe look back on the spectacular Parisian Grand Slam.

"It was the greatest match I've ever seen at Roland-Garros". With these words, Patrick McEnroe described the legendary final played by Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner two weeks ago. A men’s doubles champion at Roland-Garros in 1989, McEnroe – who commentated this year's tournament alongside his brother John for the new official broadcaster TNT Sports – was captivated by the energy, power, calm, fair play and aggressive style of the two best players on the ATP Tour.

Patrick McEnroe was also impressed by Coco Gauff's stunning performance against Aryna Sabalenka. In his opinion, the constantly evolving young American has the physical, technical and psychological strengths to continue thriving on all surfaces.
