À propos de cet audio
That ‘in love’ state is electric. The energy of the honeymoon phase with the expectations, the thrill, sex on tap, it feels like the lover is ‘living on cloud nine’. The feelings of excitement, joy and energy doesn't seem to cease. Romance delusion is so seductive due to the power of that amazing feeling, but is it about love for the other, or is it about love for myself. Sorry to burst the bubble – but today I discuss why romance is a myth and an unhealthy way of thinking and acting regarding love and relationships. Love takes work and action. Love cannot grow without being consistent, trustful, thinking of the other and wanting the best for them. The work of love isn’t ever done – it’s not magic. It is our responsibility to love, to make love work and to aim for relational growth.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- Why romance is unhealthy for relationships
- How to work at growing your relationship
- Three exercises to help relational growth
