Rosemary Mupambwa was born in a small village in Zimbabwe in 1961. At the time, women were uneducated past grade school as higher education was reserved for the men in town. Despite this, Rosemary's parents broke cultural norms by sending their daughter off to boarding school in the hopes of providing her with opportunity they did not have themselves. Eventually, Rosemary became a professor in her home country. This is when her life was permanently altered by the death of her husband, forcing her to pick up the pieces of her and her three children's lives and embark on a journey of healing.
