In this inaugural episode of Watching the Spirit Realm, hosts Andrew and Michael dive deep into YuYu Hakusho. There's a lot to break down here (Yusuke dies in the first episode???), and we make sure to cover everything, including but not limited to: Keiko's lack of fire safety knowledge, the 2002 Adult Swim/Toonami dub, brazen music usage, and '90s anime fashion. We also analyze the show's confusing critique of 90s Japan, as it tries to walk the line between "punks are good, actually" and "shoplifting will send you straight to hell".
