The Archeology of Self is a racial literacy development model created by Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz which involves the self-exploration, probing, and understanding of where issues of race and racism live within. It requires that teachers personalize race and recognize how it influences their pedagogy. Dr. Sealey-Ruiz joins us today to increase our racial literacy knowledge, and to support our work in creating equitable schools for Black and Brown students.
