Experts suggest the potential for long-term harm depends on the specific type of asbestos found—and whether the sand is free-flowing enough to allow for inhalation. - 輸入品のカラーサンドからアスベストが検出されとし、オーストラリア競争・消費者委員会（ACCC）が全国的な回収を発表しました。これを受けキャンベラやブリベン、タスマニアでは一部学校が閉鎖され、除去作業が進められた他、南オーストラリア州内では、これまでに100か所以上で、対象となるプレイサンドが確認されています。
