  • Season 5, Episode 63: Interview with Legendary Actress Sybil Danning (Stirba) from “Howling II: Your Sister Is a Werewolf (1985)
    Sep 30 2025

Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf picks up right after Joe Dante’s original The Howling but there’s no denying that this movie is a ruthless slice of low-fi gothic cult film making, making it a huge success. It’s not a film that everyone will love, but for those of you who enjoy unconventional cult classics, Howling II is a movie that may be right up your eccentric alley.

After waiting almost an entire year to speak to her, I am excited to say that it was an absolute honor and pleasure to have spoken to the legendary actress herself and getting to know her on a more personal level. There was a lot to take in during this interview, but I must admit that I was intrigued the entire time.

Knowing what kind of career Sybil Danning has built up for herself over the past four decades, you have to admire her. Afterall, she is essentially the Queen of Hollywood. No one could have played Stirba better than her in the film.

The back history of the film, behind the scenes, what it was like to be on the same set as Christopher Lee; all this is spoken by her is priceless knowledge. You cannot label her as an amateur actress, but only as a legend who has seen and been through it all. More notably, as an actress who continues to reign the reels of Hollywood and I cannot wait to see more of her work on the big screen.

  • Season 5, Episode 62: Interview with Alexandra Barreto (Patricia) from “Descendent” (2025)
    Sep 26 2025

Descendant is an amazing film that is an incredibly intriguing dive into the complex emotions that come from fatherhood and the urge to both provide and protect one’s growing family. Obviously, it’s one of those movies that is full of question marks. The temptation here might be to interpret the plot a few different ways and then try to make sense of ending.

Having to sit down and gain the insight from Alexandra about this movie was fun; asking her opinion about the film’s plot and to see if she believes whether ‘Sean” was actually abducted by aliens or did he have a mental breakdown. I guess it was the director’s intention to leave in the dark and come up with our own conclusion.

Either way, this film is very confusing, but it also has it’s high points. I definitely recommend watching this movie if you’re into psychological horror.

Descendent is now available to watch on Google Play Movies & TV, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and Amazon Prime.

  • Season 5, Episode 61: Interview with Nikolai Witschl (Ansel Barbour) from “The Strain” (2014)
    Sep 22 2025

This series definitely reinvented the vampire sub-genre of horror; it’s a superb drama, fantasy, horror series by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. I loved its adamant vibe and atmosphere, its gruesome screenplay, its outstanding expansion and acting. One of the few series that truly combines science fiction and horror with a hell of a cast.

It was an absolute pleasure to sit down and speak to Nikolai about his role as Ansel as he described from his point of view what it was like to act as a Strigoi in this riveting and thrilling series. I love how we get to witness his character slowly decline into the madness and watching the transformation process after one is infected.

Every little detail he described is pure gold and that is me being honest; I mean, this show has grasped the essence of not being a traditional vampire story, but more into the deep history and lore of a different type of “vampire” I must admit that I love this version better.

The Strain is STILL streaming on Hulu and I am certainly glad that it is… I cannot get enough of this show as I am about to watch the entire series again for the tenth time
