    1. Milford Oyster Festival Saturday 5–10 pm at Fowler Field. A seafood celebration with oysters, lobster rolls, sandwiches, Frito pies, amusement rides, live music and performances.

    2. Mill River Park in Downtown Stamford brand new playground delivers nonstop family fun.

    With modern play structures, inclusive features, shaded seating. Bonus: it's totally FREE and right next to walking paths, food trucks, and even a carousel!

    3. BackCountry Jazz presents the 4th annual Greenwich Jazz Festival a free outdoor concert series on Sunday at 6pm. Performances by extraordinary jazz artists from celebrated greats to young rising stars. On the Great Lawn.

    4. Bridgewater Country Fair all wknd at Bridgewater Fairgrounds. A classic, small-town fair loaded with charm pig races, amusement rides, live music, flower shows, unique attractions like aerialist performances and chainsaw carving, livestock displays, arts and crafts, and more. Plus, food favorites.

    5. Hamburger Fair in Lyme all wknd, 2 Sterling City Rd. Carnival rides and games, food concessions, pony rides and entries, and exhibits for farm, animal, crafts, fruits, vegetables, and more. Participate in the kids’ games and contests.

Peach Festival Saturday 10-4 and navigate your way through Lyman Orchard Sunflower Maze, Sesame Street theme in Middlefield! 350,000 blooming yellow, red, and orange sunflowers are crafted into a design all wknd. The Maze is approximately 3 acres in size and takes approximately 30 minutes to walk through.

    2. National S’mores Day at the Farm Market Sunday @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm the Stamford Museum & Nature Center Farm Market from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to make your own S’more!

    3. Downtown Bridgeport Skateport's signature roller skating event Saturday 4-8pm. DJs, food trucks, community, and sunshine!

    4. Wolcott Country Fair Saturday and Sunday. The annual extravaganza includes live entertainment, carnival rides, contests, pig racing, a petting zoo, concerts, and fireworks.

    5. The Mystic Outdoor Art Festival, downtown Mystic, featuring over 200 artists and various activities. Saturday and Sunday the festival includes a Children's Art Park, a Performing Arts Stage.

    These little guys came from an unexpected litter and are now hoping to stay together as they find their forever family. Weighing just 2-3 ounces each, they’re small, social, and love to tunnel, dig, and explore. Gerbils thrive with care and attention, and with proper setup (like a roomy tank and safe things to chew on), these three will bring loads of fun and companionship for years to come.

    Stop by the Connecticut Humane Society in Newington any day from 12:30–4:30pm and meet the trio in person. Bashful, Grumpy, and Doc might have Disney dwarf names… but they’re 100% stars in our book.
