Have you been called to a proselyting mission and been reassigned to a service mission? Have you had to come home early because of complications you didn't expect. Have you had a son or daughter experience this?

For Elder Dalton Howell, an unexpected turn in serving The Lord would not deter him from continuing his service as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

We sit down with Elder Howell and discuss the trials of having to come home from his mission due to medical conditions but still choosing to serve.

Elder Howell talks about his decision to serve, preparing for his call, receiving the call, leaving, and then being reassigned to his home ward.

He is grateful for close friends and cousins that have helped him find the positive in the situation and understanding that even though it's not what he wanted, he is still serving.
