  • Mar 16, 2026: Looking inside the Canucks Cupboard; Kane to 1000 games?
    Mar 16 2026

After another weekend of the Canucks taking on water, Matt and Blake turn their attention to the future on today's show. The guys begin the hunt for more centres and any possible off season trading partners. They also debate any obligation for the Canucks to get Evander Kane to the 1000 game milestone, with 7 more games needed, especially as Kane heats up as one of the Canucks best scorers of late. TSN's Craig Button stops by to discuss his top 50 list of affiliated prospects in the NHL. He talks about who's at number one overall, number one for the Canucks, and any players on the list that might be targeted by Vancouver's rebuild project. Craig also tackles the Allvin assertion that Vancouver isn't starting from square one in the rebuild and he gives a sneak peek into his upcoming draft rankings with some possible scenarios for the Canucks. Then it's the one and only John Shannon with the lowdown on the World Cup of hockey announcement and the wave of hockey success that the NHL is riding right now, thanks in large part to some new young superstars. John also gets into the job security of Canucks management as the off-season nears, plus, Elias Pettersson's struggles continue. The guys finish up with a recap of a near historic Whietcaps win which gives them an historic start to the season, a young Canadian made a charge at The Players Championship, and Seattle is getting the NBA back!
