Katie and Bridget cheer on Mary Lou Retton doing backflips as Tiny Tim as they re-watch the WEIRD 80's movie: Scrooged! It's one of the strangest adaptations of A Christmas Carol and we blame BILL MURRAY JUST. CAUSE! Come along as we meet Frank - aka Scrooge, who is a jerk for about 90% of this movie, so much so that a grandma dies offscreen because of his horrible advertisement commercial that reminds us of A Manson Family Christmas. Aka, how television and media basically is today! When he gets visited by three ghosts to help teach him what it means to be kind (and to also kick him in the balls multiple times), he learns that Christmas isn't about television or making money... It's about reconnecting with your long lost girlfriend who really should have just ignored your missed call and/or replied to you with a "who dis?" message! We've got a movie that feels like it should have been directed by Tim Burton with lots of Bill Murray ad-libbing that you'll definitely want to take an edible for this holiday season! Released in 1988, it stars Bill Murray, Karen Allen, John Forsythe, Bobcat Goldthwait, David Johansen, Carol Kane, Alfre Woodard, and Robert Mitchum.

Katie and Bridget read poems in a cave as they re-watch the movie: Dead Poets Society! We all remember how inspirational Robin Williams is as the teacher from this movie. In fact it was so iconic that its been replicated and spoofed plenty of times (looking at you Derry Girls)! But did you remember that its also very SAD!? And DEPRESSING!? Because TEEN SUICIDE IS REAL AND SCARY AND WE NEED TO TAKE MENTAL HEALTH MORE SERIOUSLY!!! .... Ahem, also conformity is evil. Yay! Come long as we meet the friends living at the boarding school who all have their lives changed by Mr. Keating - a man who supports standing on desks. There's Neil, a thespian who we also should say RIP to; Todd, who's real shy until public poetry gives him confidence; Charlie, the only typical teenager in this gaggle; Knox, a guy that his crush probably should have called the police on; and Richard, a red-headed bitch who ruins lives! Together they learn about poetry, secret societies, and how not to walk in tandem with one another. Released in 1989, it stars Robin Williams, Robert Sean Leonard, Ethan Hawke, Josh Charles, Gale Hansen, and Dylan Kussman.

Katie and Bridget Bend and Snap as they re-watch the iconic 2000's movie: Legally Blonde! It's a movie all about how if your ex-boyfriend is a loser who dumps you at the START of a dinner together and then you decide to follow him to law school but you quickly realize he's a jabrony - takes a deep breathe - that you should just forgot about his butt-head and become star student instead! What!? Like it's hard!? Come along as we meet Elle Woods, a newly admitted Harvard Law student who quickly dominates the school and shows everyone there's more to her than just her blonde hair and fashion sense! ...Because wearing pink equals fashion sense, apparently! This movie has us asking the deeps questions, such as: What happens within our justice system if a witness to a murder trials confesses to the crime on the stand? How common is it to get a 179/180 on your LSATs? Did Kim Kardashian steal the faux fur panties idea from this movie while she was studying to go to law school!? All this and more in this funny, feministic movie that in our opinion, holds up! Released in 2001, it stars Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Matthew Davis, Jennifer Coolidge, Ali Larter, Alanna Ubach, Jessica Cauffiel, and Victor Garber.

Katie and Bridget debate the phonetic spelling for "Fievel" as they re-watch the animated sequel - An American Tail: Fievel Goes West! Come along as we once again follow Fievel and his family as they, once again, decide to immigrate elsewhere, and - ONCE AGAIN - Fievel gets lost during the trek. But don't worry, he somehow is able to survive in the desert for who knows how long, teaches us about mirages, and makes it back to his family just as they are putting together their own Saw-esq death trap! When Fievel tries to warn his family about the evil plot from the cats to turn them all into mouseburgers, nobody believes him and he has to go bother the famous cowboy dog Wylie Burp to help him. How can a little mouse defeat a hoard of evil cats enacting their own Ocean's 11 murder plot? He can't! But his best friend Tiger (who is a cat) can help once he learns how to be a dog! We've got lazy eyes, questionable song lyrics, and a familiar plot with a cowboy twist all wrapped up into this light-hearted American Tail sequel (squeek-uel?). Released in 1991, it features voice acting from Phillip Glasser, James Stewart, Cathy Cavadini, Dom DeLuise, John Cleese, Jon Lovitz, and Amy Irving.

Katie and Bridget get the hell out of Transylvania as they re-watch: Van Helsing! It's a movie all about vampires, werewolves, Frankensteins, and monster hunters - all of whom are KINDA HOT! WHY!? Come along as we meet our main character Van Helsing, a man who has weird ethics but truly wins the beauty pageant for hottest werewolf. When he is sent to Transylvania to kill Dracula he encounters a lot more bullshit and jam packed action than we could have imagined. So much so that we might actually get lost in the plot when talking about it, but we certainly didn't feel that way while watching it! This movie asks the deep questions, such as: Why did Dracula put his hidden castle in Narnia? Why does Anna have to wear a corset, leather pants, AND heels while fighting vampires and werewolves? WHY DID WE ABANDON FRANKENSTEIN IN A GRAVEYARD WITH NO SECURITY AND THEN ACT SURPRISED WHEN HE GETS KIDNAPPED!? All these and more in this fun, spoopy flick! Released in 2004, it was written and directed by Stephen Sommers and stars Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale, Richard Roxburgh, David Wenham, and
    Shuler Hensley.

Katie and Bridget change their names to "Heather" as they re-watch the 80's cult classic: Heathers! It's a movie all about lots of teen angst, death, and suicide... But somehow nobody ever cries or is afraid or calls the police and we all just giggle while it's all happening!? Huh!?! Come along as we meet Veronica - aka NOT a Heather. When she meets new student JD - aka PSYCHO GUY - they begin a weird love affair that results in death... Lots and lots of death. But don't worry about the police or anything because all of these deaths are really just "suicides" and who needs DNA evidence anyway!? When Veronica gets fed up with JD's bullshit (a little too late in the game, but here we are), she decides to beat him at his own game and save the school from being blown up. Hi - how was this made into a Broadway musical!? We've got shoulder pads, 80's high school tropes, and absurdity in this weird, weird movie. Released in 1988, it stars Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, Shannen Doherty, Lisanne Falk, and Kim Walker.

Katie and Bridget learn about lips as they re-watch the 70's cult classic: The Rocky Horror Picture Show! Come along as we take you on a strange journey... Filled with corsets, Frankenstein monsters with bowl cuts, and songs that we don't understand the lyrics to. Hey - we said it was gonna be a strange journey! Our main stars are Brad and Janet, two PRUDES (I GUESS) who find themselves lost at Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle; a place filled with music, boning, and apparently aliens. When the two unwillingly spend the night there they encounter a loss of clothes but a gain of STDs! So there's that! This movie asks the deep questions, such as: If you make a Frankenstein monster, is it the age of it's brain or the age of a newborn? Did this movie help or harm the general public's perception of transvestites? Why was Meat Loaf there and what the hell was he singing about!? All this and more in this movie that you'll wish you took an edible or a nap during. Released in 1975, starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Richard O'Brien, Patricia Quinn, Nell Campbell, Peter Hinwood, and Meat Loaf.
