The month of may is skin cancer awareness month and is this episode I chat to Heather from Coastal Skinthetics in Dorset to help raise awareness of this. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK and the rates are continuously rising year on year with the disease killing over 2,500 people each year in the UK – that’s seven people every day. Heather and I talk about what skin cancer is, what to look out for and how we can prevent it. Its getting into the summer so people might be thinking about going on holiday and festivals, as well as going to the beach so hopefully this episode will help people look after their skin and help with the prevention of skin cancer.
