    The full podcast crew are joined by another special guest as IHUK and EIH Chief Executive Officer Henry Staelens to talk about the proposed merger into a single national governing body for our sport.

    Starcast asks Henry about the major issues and talking points with an eye on the sport from our position in NIHL1 but a look at the bigger picture too for GB men and women, junior development, broadcasting, Olympics.

    For anyone with an interest in UK hockey at what ever level the next couple of weeks will go a long way to deciding how our sport look in the short and long term.

    Craig & Jono are joined by Nick Rothwell for a fantastic chat about his work with Re-Tribe, a network supporting current and former players with wellbeing, mental health and other issues. Nick talks passionately about his own journey as a player, broadcaster and then how he lost himself and hit rock bottom. We’ll certainly have Nick back in the new year.

    Our intrepid trio sail the good ship Starcast again, and boy is there a lot to talk about! We cover Billingham’s trip to Blackburn along with a late suspension, segregated seating and 12 skaters on the biggest ice in the league.

    The game talk actually melts into a positive forward look for the future of Billingham ice hockey with the next generation coming through, two of whom already ice with the Stars. Happy 16th birthday Will Thornton - MOM in Blackburn!

    We look ahead to a double header weekend with a quick return to Hull before Sheffield are the visitors for our Teddy Toss game - the gang talk about the importance of the event to the club, the town and mostly the patients and staff in hospital at Christmas.
