  • Nottingham Forest v Sunderland Match Preview
    Sep 26 2025
The reality of playing European football is that the games come quick and fast. The players and most of the fans are back from Seville and the turnaround for the next match is in full swing. That next match is of course the visit of Sunderland to the City Ground for the 5.30pm kick off on Saturday evening when Ange Postecoglou finally gets to experience his first home match in charge of The Reds! Winless after 4 games in charge, is this now turning into a must-win against one of the newly promoted teams? And just how much of a shuffle of his deck will he make in terms of personnel and team shape? Welcome to Talking Reds with your host, Greg Oram along with co-host Richard Spray and with us it’s The Statman, Danscape. This is the Nottingham Forest v Sunderland match preview and for Ange Postecoglou The Time Is Now! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Europa League: Real Betis v Nottingham Forest Match Review
    Sep 25 2025
For two full days social media was awash with pictures of thousands of Nottingham Forest fans en route to Seville, congregating in their hundreds in the watering holes of the beautiful Spanish city, dancing, laughing, singing and getting ready for the clubs biggest night in 30 years. The party was in full swing and some might be forgiven for forgetting that the small matter of the actual 90 minutes of football still needed to navigated through by both players and fans alike. Would the wave of adrenaline spill onto the pitch and see the men in Red perform to the best of their ability or might the occasion be just a bit too much for this fledgling Postecoglou team… well in the end we got a bit of both with a thrilling, entertaining and dramatic first half followed by a second that saw Real Betis take more control and Forest fail to put the game to bed with the game ending 2-2. The takeaway is surely that it’s a huge away point gained thanks in no small part to our new Brazilian striker Igor Jesus…. In the next hour we’re gonna probably get excited and a bit carried away as we preview Forest’s first trip into Europe since the 1995/96 season that saw the Reds go out in the quarter finals of the then UEFA cup to Jurgen Klinnsman’s Bayern Munich. We never imagined it would take so long to return to European competition but now we’re dreaming and riding the wave as Forest look to get off the mark against Spanish side, Real Betis. • Burnley v Nottingham Forest Match Review
    Sep 21 2025
Nottingham Forest come away from Turf more with a point when, with the chances they had, it possibly should have been three. A good goalkeeping display by the home team’s shot-stopper and a moment of sloppy play in the Forest defence meant it was a goal apiece, and whilst that frustrated many Reds fans we are now mulling over what have we learned and what evidence we can see of Ange’s principles and style of play being embedded in this Forest team. A step in the right direction or a missed opportunity to get back to winning ways? With host Greg Oram and on the panel it’s the Texas Ranger, Bruce Johnston and creator of the fantastic Forest data website, The City Ground, Gary Cumberland. • Swansea v Nottingham Forest Match Review/Burnley Preview
    Sep 18 2025
10 changes, sloppy passing, moments of magic, chances galore missed and a capitulation right out of the Nottingham Forest playbook. After building up a 2-0 lead in the Carabao Cup against Championship side Swansea, and missing a host of excellent chances to put the game to bed was it Ange-ball that is to blame for losing the game or do we need to look at the complacency of the players…? Maybe it’s a bit of both. With plenty to look back from last night’s disappointment we’ll also blend that into focussing on the trip away to Burnley on Saturday. With hosts Greg Oram & Richard Spray, on the panel it’s Raf, The Random Pundit and The Statman, Danscape. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Ange Postecoglou says we will see his style and principles implemented into the Nottingham Forest team that will take to the pitch in south Wales tomorrow night for the 3rd round Carabao Cup tie against Swansea. Will we see plenty of changes in personnel or will Ange see this as the perfect game to play his strongest eleven to get them on his wavelength and playing his brand of football? • Arsenal v Nottingham Forest Match Review 25/26
    Sep 14 2025
Ange Postecoglou took the reigns for the game at Arsenal and all eyes were on The Emirates for his first game in charge. But when you’ve only been in post for a few days and had just one training session with your full squad it was probablyalways going to be too much to ask for anything other than what we got… The truth is the real work can and will only kick into gear from now on and as Ange says – he doesn’t have months or weeks to get the team playing in his image. It’llbe Wednesday when Forest travel to Swansea in the League Cup. Host, Greg Oram is with two of our USA-based Forest regulars – in Texas it’s Ross Taylor andin Wisconsin, it’s Andrew Cove… Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • A Spurs Fan's View on Ange! Plus - Aina Out!!!
    Sep 12 2025
It was just a week ago that we presented a special episode focussed on the full-back department at Nottingham Forest where we took a look at all the key individuals and their individual qualities. We discussed the need for depth and we said that if we were to pick up any injuries that the cover needed to be strong enough to carry us through on all fronts. Sure enough, six days later, and that day has come… The news broke today that Ola Aina has been ruled out for three months with a hamstring injury picked up playing forNigeria just a few days ago and Forest now find themselves with a bit of a headache for the immediate fixture against Arsenal and for the Europa League squad… We’re going to get into all of that in good time but first we have a special guest joining us for the first part of the show. Harry Scarfe is a Spurs fan with his own budding YouTube channel and podcast, and he has come onto Talking Reds to give his view and insight into Forest’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou… Hosted by Greg Oram.
