Instead, he died of hypothermia while in custody 14 days later. The Walker County Alabama Sheriff's Office, long known for their problematic dealings with the community, immediately claimed innocence. So far, over a dozen employees of the jail and sheriff's office have pled guilty for their parts in his murder.
