    On this week's countdown of the 40 biggest selling songs of this week in 2005...BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID: Emo is starting to creep its way onto the charts, with new entries by My Chemical Romance and Funeral for a Friend.That does not mean, however, that we do not have our fair share of pop bangers, with Gwen Stefani giving us a sequel to 'Don't Speak', Shaun Ryder teaming up with Gorillaz (and kicking his heroin addiction through cycling), and Jessica Simpson providing us with one of the year's absolute worst tracks.

    One of their greatest British bands in history released a new single this week 20 years ago. Also, Oasis did.A long hot summer was coming to the end, but not before Girls Aloud released perhaps the only song trying to get onto a Disney soundtrack that featured a heavy transvestism theme.
