  • The Advantage Line 2025 | Episode 42 | Final Episode for 2025
    Nov 13 2025
Welcome back to another episode of The Advantage Line Podcast! It’s the final episode of the year, and the lads wrap up an epic season of rugby league. They review the last weekend of internationals, where Australia beat England 30–8 to sweep the Ashes 3–0, and New Zealand claimed the Pacific Championship over Samoa. A big talking point was Deine Mariner’s disallowed try — would the result have changed if it had counted? The boys agree the match was played at Origin-level intensity, international footy now could be the pinnacle. Kieran Foran farewelled the game in perfect style, ending a phenomenal career, while Dylan Brown picked up three Man of the Match awards and showed his worth for Newcastle next year. They also give credit to Stacey Jones for silencing the doubters. The team looks back on a massive 2025 from Las Vegas and Magic Round to the Pacific Champs, calling it one of the best NRL seasons yet. To finish, they wrap up The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and throw out some early 2026 predictions, naming their premiers, top 8, wooden spooners, Dally M winner, and Team of the Year for 2026. That’s a wrap for The Advantage Line 2025 — see you all early next year!

  • The Advantage Line 2025 | Episode 41 | International Finals
    Nov 5 2025
Welcome back to another episode of The Advantage Line Podcast! This week, the lads kick things off a little differently with a quick game of “All Say the Same Player’s Name.” Does it go to plan, or straight to shambles? They break down the good, the bad, and the ugly from the weekend’s action. The Tongan fans created electric scenes at Eden Park as Keano Kini lit it up for the Kiwis. Meanwhile, somehow Jarvo has done it again joining Australia for their national anthem. Should the NRL step in to better protect players’ health after serious questions were raised over a huge pre-game head knock? It’s finally here, the Pacific Championships finals! The Kiwi Ferns are looking to upset the Jillaroos, while the Kiwis hope to carry on their fine form as they take on Samoa in the men’s final. Who will take home the silverware.

    Oct 29 2025
Welcome back to another episode of The Advantage Line Podcast! Another big weekend of international footy is upon us, with teams looking to lock in their spot in the finals. Paul’s back and in charge, diving straight into the weekend’s punting with that 1980s spreadsheet. Find out who gets stitched up as the lads rank Paul’s top five Pacific players alongside the everlasting the good, the bad and the ugly from the weekend. The fellas digest the big head-to-head battles from an action-packed weekend of international footy: Toa Samoa toppling Tonga, the PNG Kumuls getting the job done against the Cook Islands, Australia kicking off the Ashes in style with what you could call a clinical display against England, and the Jillaroos leaving Fetu Samoa in the dust. With speculation swirling that the NRL could be taken around the world — how real is it? Is it achievable? Will it happen? The lads wrap things up with a review of the Kiwis and Kiwi Ferns games — and, of course, a bit of punting to top it off.
