    The Cleveland Cavaliers made their first big move of the trade deadline, sending De'Andre Hunter to the Sacramento Kings for Dennis Schroeder and Keon Ellis. Schroeder offers the Cavs Darius Garland insurance as well as the ability to manage Donovan Mitchell's minutes down the stretch as he has been heavily relied on all season. Ellis is a near elite 3 and D player who profiles as a key rotation player off the bench.
    Hunter was a source of frustration with Cavs fans, seemingly the perfect SF compliment to the Core 4 but never quite giving the team what they needed from him. This season was especially disappointing as Hunter is having his least efficient ofensive season of his career.
    The Cavs will be looking to make more moves by Thursdays trade deadline. They also have a game tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers.     Very quietly the Cavs have been moving up the Eastern Conference standings, now sitting solidly in 5th but only 2 games out the the #2 seed. This is because the Cavs have won 10 of the their last 14 games, including two wins on a back to back this weekenf against the Sacromento Kings (123-118) and the Orlando Magic (119-105).

    Donovan Mitchell regained his shooting stroke this weekend with 33 and 36 points in the two wins. Evan Mobley continues to ascend despite continuing to struggle with his 3-point shoot. And Jaylon Tyson is someone still ascending and may soon graduate from the title role player.
