À propos de cet audio

Matt and Nick Homer are back for the upcoming football season with two new football podcasts, The Bridge Brothers Podcast and FPL Bridge Brothers.

The first of these is an irreverent take on weekly football stories where we cover topics such as non-league, EFL, the Premier League, WSL and much more.

Our second show continues our Fantasy Premier League journey as initially documented in our podcast FPL Pod VS Tok, but is a more focused and streamlined show which follows the lads' journey as they continue to out-do each other in their mini-leagues and cup competitions.

So welcome aboard for our two new shows! We cannot wait to get started!

  • Double Fantasy
    Sep 10 2025

To reference the title of the John Lennon and Yoko Ono album, this is a "Double Fantasy" album as Matt and Nick not only talk their plans for Fantasy Premier League, but they also discuss what they are going to do with their new Fantasy WSL teams.

When it comes to FPL, Nick wonders whether Liverpool's signing of Alexander Isak means that Ekiteke is bench bound, or if Red's new record signing will have to earn his place in Arne Slot's side. Matt, for his part, ponders a Salah - Haaland team up as the lads go into game week 4.

We then move onto all things Fantasy WSL where the brothers' quickly realise that most of their WSL knowledge revolves around their beloved Chelsea as well as the performances of some of the England's star names such as Greenwood, Toone and Russo. It seems like playing the WSL game will do wonders for improving their knowledge of the league and women's football in general.

Much to Nick's amusement the code to join our WSL league is: FKWAXX

The deadline to make your WSL tactics, transfers and captaincy decisions is the 12th of September at 18:30.

For FPL, you can join the league via the code: BN59SG

  • What Can The Three Lions Learn from the Lionesses?
    Sep 9 2025

With the England men's senior side competing in World Cup Qualifiers in the same week that the Women's Super League starts for the 25/26 season, Matt is inspired to ask the following question...

What can Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions learn from Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses?

While the debate mainly centres around the domination of the Premier League at the expense of the men's England team, the lads also discuss the positive impact of the WSL for the women's side as they reminisce about Euro 2025 as well as how lucky they are as Chelsea fans to have the likes of Hannah Hampton, Aggie Beaver-Jones and Lucy Bronze playing for their favourite team.

  • FPL Bridge Brothers: Nick Plays His Wildcard
    Sep 4 2025

After beginning the episode with some tips when it comes to watching Match of the Day, the lads get stuck into analysing their game week 3 performances.

While it wasn't his preferred option, Nick's decision to play his wildcard sees him get the better of his bro with a very credible 67 points to Matt's 63.

With an upcoming international break, there's a bit more time to prepare for game week 4. Nick is thinking of sticking with a winning formula whereas Matt is wary of complacency as he considers some big moves in the transfer market. Will he be able to fashion a Salah and Haaland team, or will he bring back Cole Palmer after his well deserved rest at the Notting Hill Carnival?

Speaking of transfers, the lads talk about the repercussions of a Marc Guehi transfer for our FPL Teams and Marc Guiu Chelsea return. Matt and Nick also wrangle with pronucing the players' surnames the right way.

If you think that you're a good FPL player, you can also compete against the brothers via the league code: BN59SG. C'mon 'ave a go if you think yer 'hard enough!
