  • Living Last Supper 2025
    Apr 17 2025
Welcome to the last supper of Jesus Christ. The disciples met in an upper room to celebrate the Passover, but Jesus has a secret. He knows that one of these twelve men, his closest friends on Earth, is planning to betray him. During the meal he announces this fact to them. Leonardo da Vinci captured the moment of this announcement in his famous fresco “The Last Supper.” Over the years this masterpiece of art has been admired, abused, and examined by many people. We all know the famous work by perhaps the most famous artist who ever lived. What we often don’t think about is what were the disciples of Christ thinking when he told them that someone would betray him. Because he did not name the traitor perhaps, they questioned each other and themselves. This drama is based on the thoughts of the disciples as they processed the information. Imagine the painting and the looks of shock and disgust on the disciples faces. The disciples appear in four groups of three. Six to the left of the Lord Jesus Christ and six to the right.
