  • Connection, Visibility & The Stories We Tell with Jessamyn McLachlan
    Dec 5 2025
This week I’m joined by the wonderful Jessamyn McLachlan, digital content agency founder, creative in the wine industry, community builder, and the heart behind The Heartfelt Story Circle. We chat all things visibility and creativity, the loneliness that can come from “showing up” online, and why social media doesn’t always feel that social. We also talk about the big shifts that come with motherhood, kids growing up, and the identity changes that can sneak up on us. Jessamyn shares her journey from Sydney to Adelaide, from the craft beer scene to digital storytelling, and how travel helped her reconnect with the adventurous version of herself she thought she’d lost. This is one for you if you’ve ever: - Felt a bit disconnected in your business or content - Wanted to be more you online without oversharing - Been craving genuine connection and community - Felt old versions of yourself resurface in new seasons of life - Needed a reminder that your work can hold more heart It’s warm, it’s honest, and it’s such a beautiful reflection of Jessamyn herself. I loved this conversation and I know you will too. Listen now wherever you get your podcasts, or head to emmalovell.au/podcast

  • Now is the time
    Oct 21 2025
How many times have you said “someday”? Whether it’s launching a business, writing a book, going on that dream trip, or simply picking up a hobby again, we all have something waiting on the “someday” list. In this solo episode, host Emma Lovell shares her most powerful piece of business (and life) advice: just start. Emma opens up about how she began her first business at 22 while recovering from breaking her back, how retreats came to life through action (not perfection), and why booking the ticket, literal or figurative, is the only way to make your dreams real. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it! We’ll also explore how the Bleisure Life Plan can support you in aligning your work, travel, and self-care, so you can start living a life you love today.

After 18 years of leading a thriving agency, Sara Howard courageously closed the doors on her business. What came next? Freedom, creativity, and the open door to a new chapter. In this deeply honest and inspiring conversation, I welcome back the fabulous Sara Howard, author of Beyond Solo. Earlier this year, Sara shared her wisdom on growing a business your way. • Self care to the max
    Oct 7 2025
Self care to the max! Because sometimes a bubble bath isn’t enough, here’s how to radically care for yourself when everything hits at once. Life has a way of throwing everything at us all at once, from family challenges to business curveballs, unexpected travel disruptions, and personal health worries. In this honest episode, I'm sharing what it looks like to practice self-care to the max when life feels overwhelming. You’ll hear how a series of crises, from retreat changes and childcare issues to family dramas and sleepless nights, led me to dig deep into my self-care toolkit. I share real-life practices, rituals, and mindset shifts that helped me find calm in the chaos, as well as a permission slip for you to do the same. If you’ve ever thought self-care was just “nice to have,” this conversation will change that. Self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a lifeline. And when you commit to it, you don’t just survive the storm… you grow through it.

  • A life of Magic
    Oct 1 2025
Do you want to live a life of magic? I know I do. I'm writing a book - It's called, A Life of Magic. I always thought my second book would be about retreats. But life had other plans. In this deeply personal episode, I share the story behind A Life of Magic, the memoir I’m writing with (and for) my 102-year-old cousin, Bill Hunter. Bill’s life is truly extraordinary: a WWII Navy veteran, a professional magician for over 80 years, and a man who’s touched countless lives around the world. From performing at the Indy 500 for 50 years (every single year for 50 years straight) to collecting stories from those he inspired, his journey is filled with wonder, wisdom, and heart. This isn’t just a book, it’s a legacy project, 16 years in the making. I talk about how it started, why it matters so deeply to me and our family, and how you can be part of bringing this beautiful story to life. We’re crowdfunding A Life of Magic through Kickstarter, and your support can help make Bill’s lifelong (all 102 years!!) dream a reality. Listen in to hear how you can join us, and why this project is about so much more than words on a page.

  • When the unexpected happens
    Sep 22 2025
I always say expect the unexpected… and then the unexpected happened. We had to change! In this episode, I share how, after civil unrest broke out in Nepal, I had to move our retreat …. not just to a new venue … but to a whole new country! I talk about what was happening on the ground, my deep ties to Nepal, and the disappointment of shifting a retreat I’ve been dreaming about for years. I also take you behind the scenes of how we made this change — quickly, honestly, and with care for both my clients and my partners. You’ll hear: • Why “expect the unexpected” has always been my mantra for travel and retreats • The reality and emotions of moving Nepal, and the responsibility I felt to make the right decision • How strong travel partnerships meant we could pivot in just 6 days • A look at our new India retreat itinerary: Delhi, Amritsar, Dharamsala, and of course, the Taj Mahal • Why intention matters more than location when you’re hosting retreats • The importance of planning for the “what ifs” in both business and life It’s about being real with what happens when plans change, and how we can still create powerful, memorable experiences, even when the unexpected shows up.
