  • Episode 561 - MM - 200 - Place your hand on your heart
    Dec 10 2025

This week’s mindful moment marks a beautiful milestone—tip 200—and brings us back to the centre of it all: place your hand on your heart. Right now, just pause. Gently rest your hand on your chest and feel the warmth, the rhythm of your breath, and maybe even your heartbeat beneath your palm.

It’s a quiet moment of connection—simple, still, and grounding. You don’t need to say anything, but if a word like calm, gratitude, or presence comes to mind, let it land gently in your awareness. This practice is perfect for starting or ending the day, pausing between tasks, or comforting yourself when life feels heavy.

It’s a soft, powerful reminder: I’m here. I’m okay. And maybe… thank you, heart, for showing up—every single day.

Spend just five minutes with this practice, and see how it can bring calm and clarity to your day.

  • Episode 560 - 2026 Delirious Series - Eve Knudson: Surviving December, Finding Flow, and Keeping the Delirious Dream Alive
    Dec 9 2025

This month’s chat with Eve honestly felt like a big exhale. December energy is real, and Eve is right in the middle of it—balancing kids, work deadlines, Christmas chaos, end-of-year functions, tired mornings, and still somehow squeezing in her runs… or gentle walks… or naps… or the occasional lunchtime wine 😉

    Here’s what we dive into:

⭐ Life is a workout too

Eve shares how mental fatigue has been hitting hard, and how she’s learning (slowly!) to treat her brain and body as one energy system—not two separate boxes. Her honesty about feeling like a zombie some mornings will resonate with every parent and every runner this time of year.

⭐ A rare perfect morning run

One morning she magically woke up early, smashed out a strong 5K, cooked dinner, made kids’ lunches, washed and dried her hair, and arrived at work happy and glowing. The kind of morning that reminds you, “Oh right… I am still capable of this!”

⭐ Giving herself permission to walk

She’s embracing slower movement when needed—because, let’s be honest, Delirious is mostly walking anyway. A brilliant mindset shift that came after our earlier chats.

⭐ Her December race: Three Inch Trail

Eve officially signed up (and dragged Brian along 😄). It’s a WA favourite—23 km of hills, friends, and festive energy. A perfect “finish the year without frying yourself” kind of event.

⭐ Real talk about iron levels & health

Eve admits she probably needs an iron check (history of issues + fatigue = big hint). We dig into why getting these things sorted before peak training matters.

⭐ The chaos of parenting in December

Graduations, orientations, camps, school deadlines, Christmas shopping, dentist appointments… it’s no wonder running feels harder.

⭐ A gentle reminder: maintaining is enough right now

She’s not chasing mileage, not doing speed work, not stressing. She’s just maintaining her base and protecting her mental health. And honestly—that’s perfect for this time of year.

    ⭐ Looking ahead

January brings light at 4:30am (WA you little show-off!), easier routines, and space to rebuild. And Eve knows from experience—her fitness will return.

💛 Why You’ll Love This Episode

•It’s a beautiful, honest snapshot of a real runner in a real life season.

•A reminder that “not much running” doesn’t mean “not progressing.”

•Encouragement to drop the guilt and trust the long game.

•Relatable chaos + laughter about wine, high heels, naps, and juggling all the things.

•A comforting truth: endurance is endurance—and Eve is building plenty of it.

  • Episode 559 - 2026 Delirious Series - From roller-coaster chaos to Coco Pops superpowers - Nikki’s training block has been wild.
    Dec 8 2025

In this episode, I catch up with my daughter and fellow Delirious W.E.S.T. 2026 runner, Nikki Frost, who’s had a very… colourful four to six weeks of training. And by colourful, I mean she left half her stomach contents scattered across the Dandenongs. 🤢😂

But as always, she’s honest, funny, and refreshingly optimistic about the whole adventure.

    Get ready for:

•The disastrous Roller Coaster Ultra where Nikki started vomiting at 10km… and didn’t stop until the finish line

•Why sticking with “the gels that once worked” backfired in spectacular fashion

•Her teeth literally hurting after the race (yep, it was that acidic 😬)

•How Coco Pops and a double espresso have now become her pre-run ritual

•The plan to finally dial in her nutrition before taking on 200 miles

•Her next challenge: Mount Buller Sky Run… which she hasn’t researched at all 😅

•Our mother–daughter chat about hill training, Stairmasters, and my backyard-ultra-style hill repeats

•Why Delirious is more of a “moving picnic” than a race

•Plenty of banter — including threats to run away if either of us vomits again

    Why You’ll Love This Episode:

•It’s honest, relatable ultra training chaos

•Nikki reminds us that you can be underprepared, overconfident, and still absolutely give something a crack

•We talk real food, real problems, and real solutions

•It’s a great reminder that for Delirious, nutrition isn’t just important — it’s everything

    •And… it’s also a mother–daughter comedy show 🥰

    Next Big Steps for Nikki:

•Test solid foods (Clif cookies first!)

•Survive the Mount Buller Sky Run

•Keep experimenting with “moving picnic” nutrition

•Build confidence heading into the big April adventure

Can’t wait for her next check-in — hopefully with less vomit and more snacks!
