À propos de cet audio

Join marginally popular dark fiction author J.R. Hamantaschen (“You Shall Never Know Security,” “With a Voice that is Often Still Confused But is Becoming Ever Louder and Clearer,” several unrequited love letters) and Derek Sotak (“Nachonomics,” “The Field Guide to Nachos,” “Nachos & You,” and a violent call to arms to be uncovered circa 2025) as they discuss the world of horror in (what is hopefully perceived to be) a light-hearted, frivolous and irreverent way. Those are all three words they’ve never previously been associated with, but here’s hoping! Expect horror fiction, horror movies, horror culture, and interviews / hang-out sessions with authors and creators in the field. Art

  • Episode 357: Baby, it's Cold Outside 1 - 30 Days of Night (2007)
    Dec 17 2025

30 days of night? More like 30 days of BITE, AMIRITE??? This high concept 2007 vampire film was based on the equally high concept 2003 comic series, which was in turn was based on an earlier unproduced high concept movie script. That’s Hollywood baby! Also, to clear things up, JR was thinking of WHITNEY Huston and Derek was thinking of ANGELA Basset. Thank you for coming to our TED Talk.

  • Episode 355 - Horror Roundup, November 2025
    Nov 19 2025

When we say not every horror movie deserves to be talked about for a whole episode, we really mean MOST horror movies don’t deserve a full episode. Some, like V/H/S/Halloween, HIM, Longlegs, Frankenstein, Night of the Reaper, The Long Walk, IT: Welcome to Derry, and Habit, deserve about 7.6 minutes a piece. And that’s a roundup episode for you.
