Tash never planned to get into property. She was a PE teacher, living in Liverpool with her partner, when they won £50,000 on a game show.

When Jay bought his first investment property, he didn’t think it would turn into a two-year battle - delayed by a party wall surveyor, derailed by a rogue contractor, and topped off with a “nil valuation” from the bank at refinance.

Most people would’ve walked away. But Jay didn’t.

Joe bought his first property at 21 - a brand-new, city-centre apartment for £110,000. It's not the type of project most of us would get excited about, but he obviously saw something in it, as a few years later he sold it and had turned his £20,000 deposit into a £90k profit.

That was in 2011, and after years of honing his craft he’s just bought a 12,000 square foot commercial building at auction, with no prior experience in commercial, and no clear plan for what he’d do with it. Just another hunch that it was a good deal, and the confidence to back himself.

Adam was almost a decade into his surgical training, a few years away from becoming a consultant, and working towards his PHD, when one day he looked up and realised this wasn't what he wanted to do for the next 40 years of his life.
